Charles Browning Swaim, a ninth-grade student at Randolph-Macon Academy in Front Royal, was awarded the Scholarship Medal by Academy president Col. Arvin S. Williams during recent Commencement weekend activities. The honor annually goes to the top-ranked cadet based on year-long academic averages, and Swaim’s 4.00 was the school’s top figure.
