The Biggs selected the “Dutch colonial” house because the gambrel roof line wastes less space than other types, Pat said. But before he started on the house, Pat made a “trial run,” by building a barn, also in the Dutch colonial, gambrel roof style.
“I’ve had a lot of help on the house, but I did more than 99% of the work on that barn,” Pat said. “I even made the windows.”□
