“I’m not impressed with the sagacity of people in Richmond who say inflation is 4.8% and then saddle us with programs we can’t afford,” Manwaring said.
Luke complimented the teaching staff of Rappahannock County schools. “We can see from the state tests that the students from this high school measure as well as any others.”
“That reflects the dedication of the teachers, not that they’re underpaid,” several teachers quickly said.
“AND I’M not sure whit that means when I also know that 50% of the students I send to the 8th grade will drop out before they finish high school,” Mrs. Baines said.
