JULIAN F. HIRST, executive director of the Virginia Municipal League, will address the 350 person expected to attend. The keynote speaker, Hirst has served as town manager for Pearisburg and Pulaski and city manager of Martinsville and Roanoke.
The banquet speaker will be the Rev. Oddvar Berg, who was forced to leave the Belgian Congo after 20 years of missionary service when the country gained its independence and trouble erupted. Mr. Berg, now a U.S. citizen, has been pastor of churches in Tennessee and Alabama.
Conference participants will have a chance to attend at least three workshops of their choice during the Family Resources Conference.
