My answer is...you are right. Based on current ' prices you can’t justify using any fertilizer. In fact you can’t even justify keeping your cows. But if you have been in the cow business for a while and are staying in, you have to be an optimist. You have to believe the rains will come this summer and that feeder prices will go up. So, if you still have cows to winter and-you are stockpiling fescue to help do the job, I don’t see any way out but to top dress with
