Ever since the coup brought the present Chilean Government to power, there have been horrible, well-documented reports of political executions, torture, and unjustified imprisonment. During the last year a few well-known persons have been released, but 1,500 new arrests have occurred, and brutal torture has continued. When you visit the Embassies of Chile and Indonesia, I hope you will ask about these human rights violations.
