THE Division of Motor Vehicles reminds all Virginia owners of trucks, tractors, trailers, and motorcycles that March 31 is the deadline for buying new 1976 license plates.
DMV Commissioner Vern L. Hill urged prompt action by all owners to avoid a last-minute rush as the deadline approaches. “The closer we get to March 31, the more owners risk crowded conditions in our lobbies. Buying now will save time and inconvenience,” he said.
Hill pointed out that this is the last mass renewal for these “miscellaneous” vehicles, because they will now join passenger cars under the convenient staggered-month decal system, using permanent license plates.
