Mrs. Louise Smith, on behalf of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Amissville Volunteer Fire Department, presents a check for $2,000 to Russell Pullen, chief of the Fire Company, at the banquet in the new fire hall last Friday night. The Fire Company’s new headquarters, perhaps the largest of any volunteer fire company in northern Virginia, was the scene of the banquet last Friday night. Officials of area fire and rescue companies as well as Rappahannock County guests toured the new facility and enjoyed a dinner prepared by the Ladies Auxiliary. Guest speaker William Spaulding commended the work of the women’s auxiliary in helping the new building to become a reality.
