These practices are:
Re-1 — Establishing Permanent Vegetative Cover. The purpose of this practice is to provide permanent protection to farmland, prevent erosion, and prevent or reduce pollution of water, air, or land. This practice is applicable only to land subject to erosion which would be changed from cultivation to permanent grass.
Re-3 — Planting Trees. This practics is designed to establish a stand of forest trees for timber production purposes. (Evan Sharp and Clifton Jenkins, of the Virginia Division of Forestry, recommend that people interested in this practice take immediate action since there is only approximately one month remaining in the normal tree planting season.)
Re-6—Stripcropping. The purpose of this practice is to establish a contour or field stripcropping system.
