Kennedy

A funeral service for George Dewey Kennedy of Culpeper was held Friday at the Geest Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery, Culpeper. The Rev. Floyd Binns conducted the service.

Mr. Kennedy, 78, died June 10, 1975, at the University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville. He was a retired employe of the Virginia Highway Department, and the son of the late Milton and Mollie Fincham Kennedy of Rappahannock County.

His family surviving includes his wife, Mrs. Ressie Mae Kennedy of Culpeper; five daughters, Mrs. Louise Smoot, Mrs. Mary Smoot and Mrs. Ann Petty, all of Culpeper, Mrs. Ethel Hawkins and Mrs. Ruth Hawkins, both of Manassas; four sons, Robert Lee Kennedy and George William Kennedy of Culpeper, Weston Eugene Kennedy and John Roberston Kennedy of Centreville; a brother, Waverly Kennedy of Boston; two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Jenkins of Brandy Station and Mrs. Gladys Sisk of Sperryville; 44 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
