WAKEFIELD Country Day School at Huntly held its second annual Awards Night Saturday evening, June 14, to mark the end of the academic year. In addition to awards, the program included an academic procession, remarks by school officials, promotions, and an address by guest speaker Waldron O’Connor, a longtime instructor at St. Albans School in Washington, D.C.
William Lynn, school administrator, announced to parents that an increase in enrollment to 110 students in grades 1-8 for next year has necessitated a building expansion program three years ahead of schedule. It was also announced that Wakefield is exploring the possibilities of developing a secondary school program (grades 9-12) within the next few years.
