at the home of Commander and Mrs. John J. Guthrie of Castleton.
Arrangements for the ceremony were made by the General Joseph Stillwell Basha of the China-India-Burma Veterans Association. Guthrie is Basha Commander.
The awards were presented by National Junior Vice-Commander Billy Todd Lambert and Adjutant Louis J. Poudre, acting on behalf of J.C.G. Shem, Ambassador from China to the United States.
OTHER recipients were Bernard Sisco of Kensington, Md., Stanely Crickenbarger of Charlottesville, John Sparks of Falls Chureh and Mrs. Heidi Sparks, also of Falls Church. All are veterans of the China Theater of World War II.
Approximately 65 people attended the ceremony in Castleton, which included a color guard, patriotic music and a memorial salute to war dead, as well as a picnic lunch.
