THE so-called “space committee” of Rappahannock County has concluded its studies, and seems to have reached some sensible conclusions. The changes recommended are modest, and inexpensive, and appear to be easily attainable. With the possible exception of the clerk’s office, no new construction will be needed, and even there it is not likely that anything grandiose will be required.
The committee’s conclusions are to be complimented, because when the space requirements of the county government and the court system were first mentioned, there were some rather far-reaching and expensive proposals made. Rappahannock simply does not need such a program of indebtedness, anditis comforting to see that everyone has reached the same conclusion.
One problem does remain, however, and that is the continuing need for better quarters for the Health Department. Dr. R.S. Legard has stressed this point repeatedly to the
