each year. SECTION 6. ISSUING LICENSE DECALS: Any person, firm or corporation coming under the provisions of this Ordinance shall make application for license ipon forms prescribed by the Treasurer of Rappahannock County, and ipon payment of the required tax shall be issued as evidence. The decals which shall be conspicuously placed iq>on the front windshield adjacent to the Virginia inspection decal of the vehicle so licensed, in such manner as to be plainly visible. Failure to display such decals shall be a violation of H»i« Ordinance, even though the license tax has been paid. No such license decal «Hall be placed iqxn any vehicle other than that for which it was issued. But such may be transferred from one vehicle to another in the same manner and imder the same conditions as provided fay the laws and regulations governing the transfer of State license tags. SECTION 8. LOST DECALS: A duplicate decal shall be issued upon affidavit of the applicant that the original decal has been lost. The charge for a delicate decal shall be Two Dollars ($2.00).
SECTION 13. PENALTIES: Any person violating any provision of this Ordnance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and iqton conviction thereof, shall be pwtished by a fine of not to exceed the sum of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.09), and by confinement in jail not to exceed the term of thirty (30) days, as provided in Section 15.1-505 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended; and trial of all violations of this Ordinance shall be enforced by proceedings before the General District Court of Rappahannock., County, Virginia, in the manner and with like right of appeal as is provided in misdemeanor cases; and the Sheriff and all deputies and police officers of Rappahannock Comity are hereby authorised to issue summons in writing to violators of this Ordinance for their appearance before said Court All fines collected from any person, firm or corporation for violating any provision of this Ordinance, «mon conviction thereof, shall be credited to the general find of the County and deposited fay the County Treasurer in the same manner as that prescribed for other county monies.
SECTION 16. EFFECTIVE DATE. The above amendments shall be effective on and after 12:01 a.m. on May 1, 1977.
SECTION 17. PUBLICATION. The Clerk is directed to publish the foregoing amendments, pursuant to Section 15.1-504 of the 1950 Code of Virginia, as amended.
