The number of people visiting the Shenandoah National Park dropped substantially in June 1976 compared to the previous June. In June 1976 there were 266,700 visitors to the four sub-districts of the National Park, which is a 14.8% decrease from the 313,100 visits recorded in June 1975-Overnight stays at the Park also dropped in the month of June to 82,232 people. In June 1975 there were 88,717 overnight visitors.
Angus tour
The Virginia Angus Association’s Field Day on Wheels will stop by the Dick Miller farm at Washington to inspect the cattle around noon on July 22. Mr. Miller and his son, Newbill, are extending an invitation to the public to join them.
Featured will be a small purebred herd with calves by internationally prominent bulls, modern type cattle with quality and growth , and a commercial herd approved by the American Angus Association for quality seed stock. “Hope you will come,” said the Millers.
