The organization conducts legals research, provides a consultation/information service, publishes a journal and newsletter and organizes citizen education programs throughout the country. In this bicentennial year, the Society sponsored the first national citizens’ assembly on justice.
Judge Snead received his law degree from the University of Virginia Law School and is currently a member of the Virginia Court Study Commission. He is also chairman of a committee to revise and improve the Justice of the Peace System in Virginia.
