Special licenses
Sam J. Putt, Administrative Officer for the Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries, has re-emphasized the availability of special hunting and fishing license to Disabled Veterans who meet the requirements . Putt stated that, “Veterans who are 100% disabled as a result of a service connected disability are those that qualify for the special license.”
The special hunting and fishing license for Disabled Veterans became available on July 1, 1976 as a result of action taken by the 1976 General Assembly. Information pertaining to the issuance of the special license may be obtained by writing to disabled veterans license, commission of game and inland fisheries, Box 11104, Richmond, Va. 23230.

L.A. Poe
Lloyd Ashton Poe, 75,ofAmissville died July 7, 1976 in Fauquier Hospital, Warrenton. He is survivied by his widow, Mrs. Julia Frances Poe; four sons, ^Sherman L. Poe of Alexandria, •Alan A. Poe of Warrenton, Roger G. Poe and Merrill Randolph Poe, both of Amissville; four daughters, Mrs. Olive G. Ray of Richmond, Mrs. Altha M. Silvey and Mrs. Frances E. Carter, of Amissville and Mrs. Shirley A. Pullen of Warrenton; two sisters, Mrs. Susie P. Mozingo of Richmond and Mrs. Mafie P. Heflin of Warrenton; 18 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services were conductfed Friday at the Amissville United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery.
