Sperryville Carnival
opens next week
Sperryville Firemen’s Carnival is scheduled to open next Wednesday evening, July 21 and will continue through Saturday. A parade will highlight activities Thursday evening and many prizes will be awarded.
A select group of marching units, fire and rescue equipment, majorettes in groups or singly, comics, beauty queen and many, many others are entered in the parade which begins at 7 o’clock.
Each evening there will be rides, games, food and fun. The food stand will offer all kinds of succulent items, includinghotdcgs, hamburgers, coffee and desserts. Soft drinks will be available.
There will be games for those of all ages who attend the annual festivities. The entertainment will be wholesome and fun for all, so bring the family and support the volunteers who respond to your calls. □
