The annual business meeting of the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection will feature an illustrated talk by John Trott on “Birds and a Changing Environment,” beginning at 8p.m. Friday, September 3, at the county court house in Washington, Va. Trott, an accomplished nature photographer for the past 25 years, has had many of his photographs in the National Geographic and other books and magazines, as well as at private showings in the WashNOTICE —The subscription rate for the Rappahannock News will increase September 1. In Rappahannock and adjacent counties, which include Madison, Culpeper, Fauquier, Page and Warren, the yearly rate will be $5.00; all other subscriptions will be $0.50. The management regrets the necessity for an increase, but with the ever-rising cost of materials and the climbing postal rates, an increase is mandatory.
