S.E. Foster
Spencer Edward Foster, 70, of Washington, died August 21, 1976 at Winchester Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Rappahannock County, the son of the late Willie Franklin and Minnie Smoot Foster.
He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Mary Smoot; five sons, William Edward Foster of Fairfax, Earl Thomas Foster of Warrenton, George H. Foster of Clearbrook, Roger Lee Foster of Vienna and John D. Foster of Washington; 20 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; a brother, James B. Foster of Flint Hill; and a sister, Mrs. Gabe Burke of Washington.
A funeral for Mr. Foster was held Tuesday at the Geest Funeral Home Chapel in Culpeper. The Rev. Malcolm Maples conducted the services. Burial was in the Washington Masonic Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Newbill Miller, Jay Miller, Hodge Miller, Brooke Miller, Warren Foster, Clarence Baldwin, William Foster and George Pullen. □
