THE Rappahannock County School Board and the school administration are urging the cooperation of parents, bus drivers and the traveling public to assure the safety of children on their way to and from school. Parents are requested to counsel with their children regarding conduct while waiting for buses and while passengers on the bus. Sch► ool Board regulations relating to school bus transportation include the following:
1. Do not stand or play in roadway while waiting for bus. Walk on shoulder of road to bus stop.
2. Take seats promptly without pushing and remain seated. (On a few buses some children stand for a short distance. Such children must stand in aisle behind driver.)
3. Scuffling, fighting, or the throwing of objects is not to be permitted.
4. Items forbidden in School should not be brought on bus. (Live animals, firearms, knives and illegal substances are only A few*)
5. Be courteous. Profane or indecent language is forbidden.
