Mrs. Mathena
Mrs. Edna Mildred Mathena, 82, of Browntown died August 12 in Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal. She was the wife of the late Rev. Roy L. Mathena. They were formerly of Chester Gap. She is survived by one son, the Rev. Roy L. Mathena, Jr. of Browntown; nine grandchildren; 12 greatgrandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons. A funeral service was held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal. The Rev. John P. Oliver conducted the services. Another service was held Monday in the chapel of the Graham Funeral Home in Bluefield. Interment was in the Woodlawn Cemetery at Blue Well, W. Va.
Active pallbearers were John Snyder, Maurice Manuel, Ray Hockman, Vernon Stollings, Raymond Vaught and J.E. Rudacille. Honorary pallbearers were men from the Browntown Baptist Church.□
