Edmond Burke is a surgical patient in Martha Jefferson Hospital, Charlottesville. Mr. and Mrs. Emerson Bennett, Eddie and Tony of Alexandria spent the weekend with Mrs. Bennett’s mother, Mrs. Burke, and visited her father, Mr. Burke, in the hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. Carter White have returned from a week’s trip to Windsor, N. C., visiting Mr. and Mrs. Fred Dunston, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Gilliam and Mr. and Mrs. Robert White. Enroute home they called on Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Jenkins, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Pittman and Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Drisckoll in Courtland.

Mrs. Earl Van Doren has returned to her home following several days visit with relatives in Felmington, N. J.

Ricky Wayland of VPI&SU spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dickie Wayland and visited his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Earle Wayland, in Sperryville on Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. James Knick and Jason, of Oxon Hill, Md., were Tuesday guests of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. F. R. Frazier and later were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Atkins of Sperryville. Mrs. John Gaines and Mrs. Bernie Jenkins were in Madison on Wednesday visiting Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Gaines.
