Boy Scout Troop 143 of Castleton elected officers at the September 11 meeting. Patrol leaders are Craig Lancaster and Mark Caliandro, scribe is Joe McCullough, librarian is Wayne Fisher and Quartermaster is Billy Menefee. At this week’s meeting on October 18, Scouts in Troop 143 began work on their skill award and merit badge in first aid.

Guest To Speak
On Five Bonds
Del. Raymond Andy Guest will speak at the Piedmont Senior Citizens Recreation Association program Oct. 27 at 2 p.m. at the Marshall Recreation Center.
He will explain the five proposed general obligation bonds covering education, mental health and mental retardation, corrections, parks and ports.
Del. Guest helped formulate the legislation for the five proposed bonds.
In the election Nov. 8, the legislature will be going to the voters for a “Yes” or “No” for each of the proposed bonds.

Workshop
A workshop on psychological testing, sponsored by the Rappahhannock - Rapidan Community Mental Health Center, will be held Oct. 31 from 9 until noon at the community room of Fidelity American Bank, Southgate Shopping Center, Culpeper.
