Storm Damage
Askew reported that highway department maintenance crews have almost completed work to repair the devastation caused by flooding that hit the county in late August and early September.
“We've come a long way in the last month and a half." he said. "There are still a lot of trees we have to clean up. especially on Route 522 and we still have a bridge out on Route 618 but most of the major work has been done,” Askew said, adding that ditches along roadways also needed clearing.
