A single vehicle crash which occurred December 19 resulted in a reckless driving charge for Shelby George Atkins of Sperryville. According to Trooper H. A. Newlin, the 78 Chevrolet Atkins was driving was a total loss. He said the crash occurred on Route 522 a mile south of Sperryville and the driver was southbound. The vehicle went out of control and rolled over the right embankment. Newlin said.
Two vehicles collided Christmas Eve at the intersection of Route 211 and 626 (the Washington bypass and middle entrance to the town). Involved wete Russell Maurice Oliver of Rt. Lauderdale. Fla. in a 71 Cadillac and Elizabeth Gail Carpenter of Greensboro, S. C. in a 79 buick.
According to Trooper _ Newlin, the Carpenter vehicle was proceeding across Route 211 from bib into Washington and the Oliver car was travelling west on 211. Carpenter was cited ' for reckless driving after she
