"If growth is to occur in Rappahannock County, the most logical and desirable location for this growth will be in the existing settlements." states the introduction of the recently completed village study compiled by the Rappahannock-Rapidan Planning District Commission staff.
Executive director John Capelle presented the village study to the county planners at the December 19 meeting of the commission. Parts of the study will be used in the comprehensive plan currently being developed by the planning district staff in conjuction with the Rappahannock Planning Commission.
The report includes an examination of Sperryville. Woodville. Flint Hill, Chester Gap. Amissville and the town of Washington, presenting an overall picture of the villages.
