A resident of Rappahannock for the past 12 years, Gloria has directed the * chorus since 1977. ‘‘It existed before I started with it. Nels Parson was the director for the Bicentennial year. He collected a lot of choristers, including an entire Brownie troop, for a wonderful performance in front of the court house," she recalled.
Rich Background
Gloria is perfectly suited to hold the director’s wand. She has a background rich in musical experience but more than that, she loves music with an intensity that’s catching. At rehearsals, her singers exchange smiles with their director throughout the practice session, pleasure and enjoyment evident on every face.
Her enthusiasm, especially for classical pieces, flows through her director’s baton to the singers in the chorus.
