With the recent appointment of Thelma Sanford, Piedmont Technical Centers evening classes now offer a complete program of education and guidance services.
Mrs. Sanford will provide guidance services related to career planning, assistance in completing job applications, interviewing techniques, and job placement, according to principal John Bodine.
Testing and placement will be provided for adults interested in taking the high school equivalency test. Information regarding costs for this GED test, how to interpret-test results and hints on taking the test will also be provided.
Mrs. Sanford is a licensed counselor for the State of Virginia and this enables her to provide counseling for concerns which may be of a personal nature. Also, contributing to her qualifications is her experience for the past 28 years as an educator and counselor in area schools.
Mrs. Sanford received her undergraduate degree from Mary Washington College and her graduate degree from the University of Virginia. She' IS am-active member in the Virginia Vocational Guidance Association and Virginia School Counselors’ Association.
