As soon as one concert is over, Gloria starts immediately on the next program. “I spend days in - music stores. I browse and browse and browse until something inspires me. It takes a long time to select a program. More than that, it takes a long time to polish it. We’ve had people come to rehearsal the first time and on their second visit, they’ll complain, ‘This is really work!’ And it is,” Gloria acknowledged. “I drill. I really drill—and drill—and drill—and drill.” This attention to detail has molded a group of enthusiastic singers into an almost professional chorus, a blend of voices that rarely—if ever—strikes a sour note. Gloria’s plans for the future reflect her pride in the chorus. “I’d love to take them on an European tour some day, to show them off in France, Germany...” she mused. “That’s my dream.”
