Nellie M. Jenkins

Nellie Marie Jenkins, 45, of Fredericksburg, formerly of Sperryville, died Nov. 21 at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg.

A native of Rappahannock County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Cleveland and Gertie Lee Leake Jenkins. She was a member of the Open Door Baptist Church in Fredericksburg.

She is survived by two sisters, Virginia J. Dodson of Orange and Helen J. Cave of Boston; three brothers, Earl C. Jenkins of Culpeper, Bernard L. Jenkins and Junior R. Jenkins, both of Sperryville; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral was held Nov. 24 at Geest-Johnson Funeral Home in Culpeper, with the Rev. R. Robert Hall officiating. Interment was in Sperryville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Bruce Cave, Roger Cave, Douglas Cave, Charles 0. Dodson, Freddie. Schaefer and Ronnie Jenkins. j

Letitia Thornhill

Letitia Elliott Thornhill, 86, of Culpeper, widow of Ernest G. Thornhill, died Nov. 23 at Oak Springs of Warrenton.

A native of Rappahannock County, she was the daughter of the late William and Ada Lillard Elliott.

She is survived by two sons, Robert H. Thornhill and William E. (Buddy) Thornhill, both of Culpeper; 11 grandchildren, Robert H. Thornhill, Jerry M. Thornhill, William W. Thornhill, Valerie Clore, Jason L. Thornhill and Tara A. Thornhill, all of Culpeper, Brenda Nichols of Chesterfield, Richard G. Thornhill of Tipton, Pa., Vicki Lloyd of Richmond and Darlene Hockett and Doreen Thornhill, both of Centreville; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Snyder and Grace Hicks, both of Culpeper; and three brothers, Brunton Elliott, Gid Elliott and John Elliott, all of Culpeper.

A funeral was held Nov. 25 at Geest-Johnson Funeral Home, with interment in Fairview Cemetery in
