to bring this endeavor to fruition. It was only one week prior to the printing of these articles that we learned of RAAC’s plans to vacate the theatre.

It was as much a surprise to us as it was to everyone else. Up until that time, we had assumed that our relationship with the theatre would be built through RAAC. We met with Ms. Weinberg after RAAC informed us of its plans and advised that we would be dealing directly with her.

As of this letter, we have still not reached final agreement on the rental of the theatre. We plan to finalize within two weeks.

It is our understanding that Ms. Weinberg will rent the theatre to as many different, independent producing groups as are interested, including RAAC and ourselves. We will not be the sole producing company at the Gay Street Theatre. We do intend to mount productions of a “professional stature” in the theatre in 1991.

Our contribution here must be offered for the good of the community as a whole and we fully expect to participate as a team player. Our intentions are sincere, overly enthusiastic to some, but always honorable and we hope the community has an opportunity to see this for themselves. For anyone who is interested in what we’re doing, we offer an open invitation to attend an acting class that we conduct at the Town Hall on Tuesday evenings. It is here that you can witness the serious and committed work that we do ahd decide for yourselves.

We’d like to extend our thanks to those who have extended their gracious support of our endeavors and invite anyone with further questions to call us at home at 675-1157.

In the meantime, we’re confident that RAAC will continue to be a valuable and effective arts organization in this community and we plan to offer our support wherever and 4 whenever needed.
