Equalization Board openings
Circuit Court Judge W. Shore Robertson will interview all interested candidates for seats on the Rappahannock Board of Equalization, which hears assessment appeals, starting 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13:
- The five-member board will consist of freeholders of Rappahannock County and those interested must attend a workshop put on by the Virginia Department of Taxation.

Libraiy program on Eskimos
The Rappahannock Library will offer an evening dedicated to the Inuit—or Eskimo—people of the Canadian Arctic, their history, the harshness of the climate ’ and land in which they live, and above all, their art at 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10.
Judith Varney Burch of Richmond, a docent for 20 years for the Virginia Museum of Fine Art, will show slides, sculpture, drawings, prints and wall hangings of the Inuit that she has collected in her annual visits to the Canadian Arctic over the last six years.
