The Christmas season will soon be over and people will have to get back to the reality of making ends meet; that is, by trying to make their money last from one pay check to the next. Some will not even have Christmas. For many this is going to be very difficult because many people have lost their jobs due to these financially hard times. 1 Regardless of the lack of money, children continue to grow. They need food to grow healthy, strong bodies and minds, and they outgrow their clothes. When times are hard food is hard to come by and new clothes suddenly become priceless treasured items.
We have for many years depended upon the government to take up the slack when a family is down on its luck. Our government is the best in the world, but it depends on tax dollars to supply its services. When working people lose their jobs
