Frances Thornton of Sperry ville was among three women honored by the Rappahannock-Rapidan Community Services Board (RRCSB) at its annual Christmas luncheon and board meeting on Dec. 10.
Mrs. Thornton, Carolyn Henry of Culpeper and Ruth Anne Paisley of Orange were recognized for their many years of service to the board and to their communities.
Mrs. Thornton was a charter member of the Chapter 10 Board (a precursor to the RRCSB) from Rappahannock County and has been on the RRCSB since 1974.
