The chorus remained an all-male group even after Yale became coeducational in 1969 because most of its songs in its repertoire were written specifically for male voices. The emotional depth of Russian songs and the vocal range from profound bass to soaring tenor make a spectacular musical combination.
The recently refurbished Theatre at Washington, Va. noted for its good accoustics, will provide a fine setting for the New Year’s Day concert. The Theatre is located at Gay and Jett streets in Washington, Va.
