Smith Construction, Inc. for a 12-foot variance from the front setback and a 10-foot variance from the side set-; back. The . 82-acre lot is at the inters section of U.S. 211 and Route 639 near Amissville in an agricultural zone. The variance was required to build because of the location needed for a drainfield.

Mr. Smith had a contract to build a house for Nancy and Larry Burgman on the lot if they could get the vari-? ance. Appearing on behalf of the application, in addition to Mr. Smith were Les Malachuk the real estate agent, and John Foster a surveyor.

Mike Leake whose property is orj the side with the request for the 10' foot variance objected saying he was concerned about his privacy and the effect on his well. He said he had to drill over 400 feet to get only three gallons per minute.

The BZA granted a 25-foot varU ance from the front in order to elimi£ nate any variance from the side adjoining Mr. Leake.

The third variance was for George Harrison to build an addition onto -a house in Woodville. The variance was needed because the house was already slightly in violation of setback requirements. Mr. Harrison said he needed to add a hallway to provide privacy for a bedroom and bathroom in the house.
