A group of nearly two dozen county citizens took advantage of an open-forum session of the Rappahannock County Planning Commission last week to discuss ideas on historic preservation, commercial development, village planning and controlling the likely future arrival of fast-food chain restaurants.
The commission had time at its June 18 monthly meeting to entertain a wide variety of suggestions and ideas from the public, since it had no applications or other action items on its agenda. The result was a free-wheeling brainstorming session that appeared to prompt interest by at least some of the commissioners in pursuing the ideas offered.
