During graduation and awards ceremonies at the Rappahannock County Elementary School on June 11, many seventh-grade students wererecognized for academic achievements and perfect attendance. Caroline Baumgardner and Katy Paratore received awards in spelling. Ashley Van Diver received an award in reading and Tim Deal received an award in pre-algebra. Ginnie Ankers, Ashley Van Diver and --Andrew Van Horn received writing awards.
After several months of refurbishing, Gregg and Cindy Gillies have reopened The Appetite Repair Shop in downtown Spenyville. The facility's dining room is furnished with unique "auto-theme" furniture, enhanced by nostalgic and historic antique auto-related wall hangings The expanded shop boasts of the latest in new state-of-the-art appetite repair equipment including new ranges, stoves, freezers, pizza ovens and other miscellaneous speciality tools to improve service.
