The Amissville Volunteer Fire Company invites everyone to the Amissville Carnival from June 25-28. -The parade is Thursday, June 26 at 7 p.m. and is one of the largest in our area.
There will be equipment from all over Virginia, majorettes, marching bands, and of course the ever-popular politicians.
Two local girls will be in the parade representing Tiny Tot Ms. Rappahannock and Little Miss Rappahannock and the Miss Rappahannock Sisters. The girls are: Lauren Elizabeth Frye - who won Little Miss Rappahannock, Sara Michele Frye - who won Tiny Tbt Miss Rappahannock and the two together won Miss Rappahannock Sisters.
They live on Lost Acres Lane. Commercial Landscaping Group, Inc., of Amissville, sponsored them.
Wednesday Night is family night at the carnival. On Saturday they crown Miss Amissville and her court. They will also draw for the cash prizes with a grand prize of $1,500.
Box dinners will be available on Thursday night and concessions will be open all week, with the Johnny Hitt
