Rappahannock County 4th of July Celebration When: Saturday,'July 4 (Rain date: Sunday, July 5) Where: Thornton Hill Race Course, 4137 Sperryville Pike, three miles south of Sperryville on Route 522. Time: Gates open at 1 p.m. Music: Gold Top County Ramblers (4p.m. - 6 p.m.), Bobby Glasker and Friends. Raffle drawing: Crowning of the 4th of July king and queen and raffle drawing of $2,500 (6:30 p.m.) Food, public safety, antique cars, local nonprofit displays, juggler, children's games, face painting, moon bounce and much more. Fireworks: At dusk General admission: $20 per vehicle. Tailgate $30 per vehicle. The 4th of July celebration benefits the Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department.
