Three motorcyclists never made it over the mountain from Page County into Rappahannock over the weekend, followring a pursuit by State Trooper T.A. Fox and an accident involving one of the motorcyclists.

According to Virginia State Police Sgt. Les Tyler, on Sunday, June 21 at approximately 3 p.m.. Trooper Fox observed a motorcycle traveling at a high speed in Luray, but was unable to apprehend the driver at the time.

Later in the afternoon, Trooper Fox saw the same motorcycle along with two others traveling eastbound on Route 211 toward the Rappahannock County line and began pursuit.

At the first curve at the base of the mountain near Brookside Restaurant, Christopher Thomas Timberlake, 25, lost control of the bike . and struck a guardrail. He was ejected from the motorcycle, which landed in the roadway.
