A little out of the way, but well worth the find, Blue Knoll Farm Bed & Breakfast is still standing in Castleton. Mary and Gil Carlson bought and opened the B & B in 1992, and since then the competition has doubled. Mrs. Carlson has noticed dwindling numbers, but she has not suffered as much as other B & Bs. Her secret: unparalleled service, accommodations, and atmosphere. Once visitors have found Blue Knoll, they always go back.
Cadet Jeffrey ML Holder of Woodville, was among 225 cadets who received degrees May 15 at Virginia Military Institute’s commencement exercises. Cadet Holder, received his BS degree in civil engineering. While at VMI he was on the dean’s list. He is a graduate of Rappahannock County High School and is the son of Mrs. Susan Butler and Mr. Joseph Holder.
