JD Hartman has had a lifelong passion for barbecue.
“About 30 years ago 1 fell in love with barbecue, read every book 1 could, found the barbecue machine I wanted while in St. Thomas, bought one like it and then started up and down the East Coast barbecue circuit," said Hartman in an interview Wednesday. “
His passion about barbecue is still evident when he talks about the restaurant he, his wife and children will open in Sperryville in early July.
“My family and I love the barbecue business," he said.
