Public Hearing: Proposed Scenic River Designation For The Jordan River The Rappahannock Count) Board of Supervisors is seeking public input on a proposal to designate the Iordan River as a Stale Scenic Riser. They will hold a public hearing on this matter at 7:00PM on Monday, August 3. 2009 at the Courthouse in Washington. Virginia The nominated section of the Jordan River is from L’.S. Rl 522 to its confluence with the Rappahannock River. The Rappahannock has been a state designated Scenic River for over a quarter of a century. A designation as a State Scenic River provides no new regulatory controls. obligations or restrictions on property owners.
