The Rummage Sales which were held during the month of May for the benefit of Washington Fire Company and Rappahannock Rescue Squad cleared $435 10, an increase over last year of $105.10. Mrs. W. B. Jenkins, assisted by Mrs. Mary Burke and Mrs. Charles Burke operated the May sales each Thursday and Friday The sales were extremely successful and ail merchandise was sold

Sewing classes which will include dressmaking will be held for girls from ages 9 up, provided enough girls are interested and will attend the classes and a suitable ineeting place can be found. The time of the classes and how often they meet will be determined by the girls.
