Frances Foster, county treasurer, said “during the 30 years Marie has work for the Social Services, she has been the nicest person to know and will be missed deeply.”
There were attendees from both churches that Mrs. Davis attends - Mt. Moriah Baptist Church in Amissville and Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Warrenton.
Mrs. Davis received nice gift cards at the celebration.
At the Hair Gallery last week, Marie was sitting in the chair having her hair done and offered with a friendly smile a box of blueberries to munch on. Marie always puts other people first. She is always a kind and caring person with a smile on her face.
“Everyone had an enjoyable time,” said Frances Foster.”
Amy Kretz and Beverly Atkins helped with the preparation for the celebration.
With the Lord's help, said Davis, “I will get through this. It was a pleasure working with Rappahannock Social Services and the people within Rappahannock County and I wish them all the best in the future.”
