OBITUARIES
James Richard Latham
James Richard Latham, Jr. 61, of Front Royal, died Monday, July 20, 2009, at Blue Ridge Hospice Residential Center in Winchester.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Marlow Heights Baptist Church, conducted by The Rev Jim Bunce. Immediately following the service, all are invited to join the family for a time of food and fellowship at the Marlow Heights Baptist church reception hall Inurnment will be held on Monday, July 27, at 11:00 a m. at Culpeper National Cemetery.
Mr Latham was born June 26, 1948, in Front Royal, son of Mary G. Latham of Front Royal and the late James Richard Latham, Sr., of Amissville. fie was a native of Rappahannock County where he graduated high school in 1966. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1968 to 1972 as a flight engineer and airplane mechanic, which included a tour of duty in Vietnam. After an honorable discharge from the Air Force, Mr. Latham’s work career included employment with Avtex Fibers, F&M Bank, and a ten- year career with Toray Plastics-America, Inc., where he worked as a utilities technician and retired in 2006. He was a member of Marlow Heights Baptist Church in Front Royal.
