VA is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Onsite Wastewater Disposal Data Management Specialist to: develop a comprehensive Onsite Wastewater Management System (OWMS): identify all relevant systems being used throughout the County and determine their usefulness: prepare a plan to integrate systems; verify the data in OWMS is accurate and up-to-date; generate reports identifying data errors problems; develop, present and distribute reports to managers/supervisors: provide quarterly reports to management on quality of data. Using the OWMS. track requirements for inspection, maintenance, identifynotify homeowners of upcoming required activity, identify non compliant owners and track notices of compliance, tickets, court dates. Must have thorough knowledge of database and geographical information system development and be able to effectively communicate ideas, establish and maintain working relationships with fellow employees, county officials, and the general public. Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Environmental or Computer Science with a minimum of two years related experience. Three years related experience and knowledge of wastewater treatment design, installation and operation is preferred Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a driving record check.
