Census Enumeration
Proceeding Satisfactorily
M Wallace P. WilLon, Supervisor iif the Staunton District Bateau of the Census, announced today that the enumeration of the Tth Ci mgressional District is proceeding wry satisfactorily. Tire wholehearted co-operatiun of the people in the District has been a major factor in the successful beinnin of the census.
In many areas of the District, the enumerators have found that a large percentage of the farm operators have answered their airricr.ltural questionnaires, greatly expediting the enumeration.
It is yet too early to estimate the time of completion of the census, however, the timetable calls for tire completion by April 3d.
Filling—Liftlegreen
In an impressive afternoon ceremony, Satuixlay, March 25, Miss Lcnola Virginia Littlegreen became the bride of James Hill Filling, Jr., of Woodville, son of Mr. and Mrs, J. H. Filing. The ceremony took place at four o’clock Wn the afternoon in the Bedsole chapel of the First Baptist church in Mobile, Alabama. The Rev. Dr. Howard M. Reaves officiated, Rising the double ring rites.
Prior to and during the ceremony, Mrs. \V. A. Damply, organist, presented a program of wedding music. Among her selections were ‘'Romance” by A. Rubinstein “Ptayer’’ from Der Freischietz, and “Nocturn” by Chopin. “To A Wild Ruse” was- played snftly" while the vows were exchanged and the traditional W c d d i n g Marches were used as the processional and recessional.
White gladioli, ferns and palms interspersed with many burning white cathedral candles formed a lovely nuptial setting.
The bride was given in- marriage by her father, N'oland Lewis Littlegreen. She wore an attractive afternoon gown of white nylon tulle, using navy lace gloves, navy slippers and a white picture hat with navy tulle trim. Her only ornament was a single strand of pearls, a gift of the hridegr >om.
Serving the bride as maid of Honor was Miss Evelyn Richard•■!’ Mew Orleans. David H. Bel! of Washington, X. Carolina, uncle of the bridegroom wa- best man, and Robert Clark of Mobile, was groomsman.
Mrs. Littlegreen chose for her daughter’s wedding a dress of naj. vy silk with which she used navy accessories anil a lavender orchid corsage.
